Enve is a family of three player apps, each built for what it does best. A book player for audiobooks, ebooks, and comics. A music player. A video player. All free. All private. All speaking to the servers you already own.

Books, music, and video. Each one focused on what it does. All free. All private. All built to handle a library that's bigger than it should be.
Audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and podcasts. CarPlay and Android Auto, sleep timer, 10-band EQ, StoryAlign narration sync, Markdown highlight export, vocabulary, and built-in sync to iCloud, KOReader, and Hardcover.

Audiobookshelf, Plex, Komga, Kavita, Jellyfin, Emby, Grimmory, OPDS, WebDAV, Premiumize, Real-Debrid, Storyteller. Or just a folder of files. Mix as many as you want.
iCloud, server-native progress, KOReader/KOSync, and Hardcover. When two sources disagree, Enve asks you which one to trust. Nothing is silently overwritten.
Browse, search, play, jump chapters, grab downloads. The car experience is first-class, not an afterthought.
EPUB (including Readium LCP), PDF, CBZ/CBR, and converted KF8/AZW3. Built-in TTS. On iOS 26+, StoryAlign highlights words in real narration audio.
Highlights, bookmarks, and audiobook notes export as Markdown. Drops straight into Obsidian. Tap-to-define saves vocabulary you can ship to Anki.
Tested at 50,000+ books. Parallel pagination, throttled sync writes, efficient batching. The first scan is slow. Nothing else is.
Build collections by author, narrator, genre, duration, progress, status. Or drag and drop your own. Filters apply across every connected source.
Background downloads, resume support, Wi-Fi-only toggle with per-download override. Nothing breaks when the train goes underground.
No analytics. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. No account. Credentials live in the iOS Keychain or Android encrypted storage. Never logged, never sent anywhere.
Enve started because Plex audiobook playback wasn't good enough. A year and a half later it plays books, comics, podcasts, music, and video, because the community in the Discord kept asking and because building it has been a blast. No envy required.
